Teye (2014)

Teye is a voice-controlled VoIP telephone, with an interface consisting of an abstracted face. By voice recognition it instantly illustrates registered moods by moving its eyes accordingly. Teye makes telephone calls more emotional – which is why the website on which the product is presented is personal, too. Teye explains its function from its perspective: likeable, personal and with a few surprises in store. Just like the physical device, the minimalistic design focuses on the essentials: by not letting the user out of its sight, the website users build up an unusual intensive contact with the product.

Social tools (2018)

The “Social Tools” service by Black & Decker was designed for an urban target group still interested in DIY, but no longer keen on owning things. It is a concept for a smart tool cupboard for housing communities, where borrowing and returning is done with an app. The landing page uses storytelling through full-screen illustrations to explain how the service works. Small animations, e.g. tools coming out of the cupboard, additionally illustrate the concept. The design exudes the DIY notion with its handcrafted look, while lending the imagery a nostalgic feel.
